^ It's so embarrassing that that project didn't get finished as intended. I get the uproar over the "sky palace", but this is different—that ice rink would be a public amenity open to everyone. And if they aren't going to put the money in to finish the ice rink, at least do something. Put some tables, chairs and fire pits out and offer vendor permits for coffee/food trucks. Once the summer is over that plaza looks/feels like an arctic wasteland.
