Yes, at Empire Stadium. If you want proof, I'm sure some photographic evidence can be found online.
BC Place is not located on the PNE grounds when last I checked.(although it almost did end up there, but that's another story for another time).
The shows I refer to were/are designed specifically for fair goers, not a stand alone concert.
Those shows are a literal impossibility today. Possible in
1977, but not today. Let that sink in for a bit.
