An extremely welcome surprise happened in Calgary today, a crane base was erected on top of the new East Village Shopping Centre in the new downtown East Village. We've heard from reliable sources that the shorter of the two towers, a 27-storey apartment tower, is going ahead immediately. We thought we wouldn't see these towers go ahead for years, but looks like the gap between downtown and EV is about to start filling in.
