There are very few horse tracks around the world that are really impressive like Churchill Downs. Woodbine is not one of them. But it's alright. It's a big venue and has multiple tracks so that's cool.

My cousin lives 5 minute away but he never goes. If I lived there, I'd go at least once a month in the colder months just for something to do.

The Queens Plate I've only been to twice because it's always on long weekend and I try to get away instead of staying local and venturing to a shitty neighbourhood. But the event itself is rather interesting with the sights and sounds and the buzz you feel when there.

I was supposed to go the last time the Queen actually showed up about 10 years ago but plans got changed last minute. Not that it would be all that special as I only would have seen her from a distance.

As I live in the west, I prefer to go to Mohawk or Flamboro, which are obviously smaller and only have harness instead of thoroughbred but the OTB is all the same.
