June 27, 2019 – For the next two weeks:
Demolition of the floors and openings inside of the existing building is ongoing.
109 of 120 footings have been replaced to date.
Shoring work for the West Georgia plaza will continue for the next three months.
The Hamilton Street sidewalk adjacent to the building will be closed for the duration of the project.
The Hamilton Street southbound curb lane will be closed daily from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Saturday).
All activities are executed within the parameters of the City of Vancouver’s building bylaws.
Raft slabs for the south tower have started.
Underground mechanical and electrical have started in the basement.
The third of four tower cranes will be erected on July 13 and 14.
Exterior demolition has started along West Georgia and will continue along Hamilton Street over the next month. New window openings will be sawcut into the existing façade over the next two months.
