^ There is always going to be some degree of partisanship when it comes to highway twinning. The truth is, there will always be more projects to spend money on then there is money to spend. The people who support twinning from Thunder Bay to Nipigon will correctly point out that it's the only road through that part of Canada, so it deserves to be twinned, while people who support road twinning in the Ottawa Valley will correctly point out that it's the busiest two-lane section of Highway 17 so it deserves to be twinned. Despite both arguments being correct, there may only be money to build one at a time...
