I do buy the 90 minute argument when it comes to selling tickets. It's asking a lot to expect people to spend more time on the road to see a game than the time it takes to watch the game.
Ticket sales are a big part of a CFL team's revenues. The overwhelming majority of that support will come from HRM and central Nova Scotia. Given that a team would be working with a smaller local population than anyone other than the Roughriders, it's imperative IMO to focus the marketing on that population. The team name is the first part of that marketing.
