I don't think they will ever create a series of pedways that would run practically the length of downtown. But it's a neat idea none the less.
A while back I remember talking with an MLA about the accessibility here unlike other cities, and pedways Tunnels, and just the equivalent of an underground city had emerged from those talks. Unfortunately all that had happen since where 2 pedways, and one has since been demolished.
