For how much Edmonton has grown lately, I was underwhelmed when I went there earlier this year. It's sprawled and sprawled, and maybe when its ice district is done it will have a more impressive downtown but as it stands, they have 1 bar downtown worth a drink, and one bumping street in the whole city. Their older suburbs have not intensified into neighborhoods and have mostly turned into ghettos. I might almost like Saskatoon better, and I can't stand Saskatchewan. And I'm pretty sure Hamilton might be the better city too, even if they are just a Go Train upgrade away from being a Toronto suburb.
