Hm - not sure where you've been in the past 26 years. Vancouver has mandated sprinklers for one and two-family dwellings since April 1990. That would have been under Mayor Gordon Campbell. NPA.
Really? I'm almost 100% sure the rental my family lived in while we renovated our house was built post-1990 and I don't think it had sprinklers.

Are sprinklers also required of renovated homes?
