Most things a person could want are there and there is plenty of places to shop and eat between Centrum, Tanger, and Bayshore (though not in Kanata its only a short drive on the highway). However plenty of people leave to go to the Market, Rideau Centre, China town, Events and festivals (Bluesfest, Ribsfest, etc.) and of course football games and Lansdowne in general. I do think the new expansion at Rideau will bring more people from Kanata downtown than before, but I still believe a majority of there shopping for clothes will be done at Bayshore.

On a Rideau Centre note: I hope to make it down there before September, are there any stores confirmed for the expansion that aren't open yet but will soon? Also, I was downtown two weeks ago and I am surprised that Nestle Toll House closed, I feel it would have done really well now that the expansion is complete.

When I cash my cheque at the RBC or go to the Chamberfest downtown, I always stop at the Rideau Centre, because of convenience. I eat at the new food court, where the former Sears was located. The food is not the best, but it is average. It costs about $12. At least, I do not have to wait along time. It is quick. I think that they opened a Bridgestone at the expansion that will be convenient for most people. Some of the stores in the expansion are opening in the winter of 2017.
