confident idiots

I suppose it had to happen. I've read the entire RAM post from beginning to end several times and I had to reply.
As far as I can tell, not one of the posters has ever read the OSR " Owner's statement of requirements" which set the standards for each and every space.
Nor does it seem that any poster has ever reached out to the Design team to ask why the design exists for specific design elements.
No poster ever inquired to why placing a green roof over culturally irreplaceable items constitutes not only a bad design and terrible risk but as a LEED credit was not brought forward.
Nor can posters tell the difference between precast and limestone finishes
Nor can posters tell the difference between a Rain water leader and a structural support for an unfinished architectural feature - which is clearly shown in the design drawings that Alberta infrastructure posted years ago.
Nor has any poster ever inquired why the feature stair exists as it does.
Suffice to say, I have found, after reading every anonymous posting, that this group appears to be the result of ramblings of a terribly insular, and insecure group of individuals who post opinions without thought, without determining facts and without any sort of background to support their statements.
As an outside viewer to this particular forum it is most evident that the strong opinions made anonymously verge on the edge of cyber bullying.
It has been said that "Observation without judgement is the highest form of intelligence"
Which brings me to the google query for "What do you call a group of uniformed and misguided people with strong opinions?"
Answer - 'In the title"
Should anyone wish to continue this discourse with both reasonable questions, backed by sound design and/or engineering principles I would welcome that over the existing uninformed hogwash, tripe, and random verbal diarrhea that this group expounds.

The opinion, no matter how loudly shouted, of some 25 misguided forum posters in a city of 1.1 million carries little weight, changes no history, and offers nothing positive to the culture of those who are contributing meaningfully to the development of this city.

I would ask your to review your own posts, and ask yourself honestly, are you building up others, or just tearing them down? Am you placing your limited understanding of complex situation above those who are wholly involved and offering judgement without mercy, compassion, or wisdom?

I believe you can be better contributors to this forum, and to this city's culture. Lets start by being professionals, honest purveyors of reasoned and thoughtful discourse.
