Senior Living Tower Remodel & Expansion (RBJ Center)

Not sure if this is related to the plan they decided to go with (option C).

Quote:
Sited between an urban lake-side park and one of Austin’s oldest neighborhoods, the non-profit owner/operator of this 1970’s tower sought to double the number of available units to over 500. The existing international style architecture was respected while a solution was developed that focused on embracing great views, upgrading glass/skin systems, and utilization of the many historic trees on site. Approaches to massing, shading, and fenestration shifted across the many sides of the tower and 5/4-story low rise mixed-use wrap, in response to changing orientation and programmatic requirements, while holding to a consistent language.
