I mean if you already have to go downtown to to do anything interesting or find good you might as well stay there and taxi in the morning. There's no traffic anyway.

It would certainly work well. The proposed hotel will be across from the terminal. So, it would be very pleasing for 5:00-6:00 a.m. departures --- especially when one needs to check-in 1+ hours before departure.
