Personally I think it is a very reasonable proposal. A vast majority of the lands, particularly the slopes, are well preserved. Globally, among the best practices for preserving is actually allowing for limited thoughtful development. That actually highlights the importance of lands needing protection by exposing more people to them, and creating value of the developments, thus encouraging people to maintain the preserved spaces.
