I had no idea such an architectural gem was sitting behind this facade on West Pender Street in downtown Vancouver. I took these pics below a few days ago and then starting reading up on the place. It has a fascinating history and has been lovingly and painstakingly restored to it's former glory. I really hope I can go to an event there sometime just to see the interior.
