Determining if Winnipeg has proportionally more parking downtown than other cities can not be determined by counting the number of surface lots, instead you need to look at the number of spots in surface lots and parkades.

We need to work towards more models like Portage Place (underground parking), the Radission (parking above street level presence) or the parkade at King and Bannatyne that is starting to gain traction with its ground floor units.

PS Simplicity, nice to see someone that gets Winnipeg will never be NYC regardless of what those city planning text books say.
