It won't be as bad because scheduling will be 1000% better at BMO, and the cavernous atmosphere will be gone.
Whether end zones are field turf is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. It really makes little difference to the game.
I don't see how anyone can write this off as a disaster unless we see drawings to know exactly where the field will be positioned. And there is no way that a field that is 10 yards off centre (assuming that is even the case) will be as much of a headache as the Barclays Centre arrangement for the Islanders where nearly 1/3 of the arena's seats will be unusable for hockey.
