FWIW I don't think that Citydata.com data is accurate. Here are the 2010 census numbers for some of Portland's denser neighborhoods, taken from ONI's website:
  1. Old Town / Chinatown: 18,551 people / sq mile
  2. Pearl: 15,671 people / sq mile
  3. Downtown: 15,315 people / sq mile
  4. Goose Hollow: 14,910 people / sq mile
  5. Northwest District: 9,179 people / sq mile
