In Boulder's defense, a bunch of monotonous single use buildings are not going to be good urbanism.
Of course, that's Boulder's fault. If they had sensible zoning, Google could build a single 10 story building downtown, where ground-floor retail would make sense. But Boulder doesn't want that.
