I came across a Calgary Herald video of the Ismaili Muslim community's Calgary Stampede "Sunset" Breakfast this year and thought it very worthy of highlighting. Couldn't find a best place for it, but thought a new thread highlighting celebrations of culture within a Calgary / Canadian context would be worthy.
Watch this video, and then as other such things come up, please share. This is very cool and I can't imagine happening in too many places in the world. Note that while the Ismailis are a religious affiliation (one of several Shia Muslim communities), they bring with them a variety of cultural traditions. In this case, we see their event featured eggs, pancakes and bharazi, which I'm told is an east african dish made of pigeon peas and a spicy coconut milk based breakfast curry.
Unfortunately not on YouTube, so you'll have to visit the link.
