Publicly shamed??

I just earned my full licence last month, and the three years I spent with an N and L respectively, not once did I feel "publicly shamed".

I always saw these decals as a way of alerting other drivers who may otherwise be more aggressive to let up when driving alongside somebody with and N or L. I think we all can remember how overcautious and potentially annoying to drive around we were when we first got our drivers licence. If I see and L driver maybe not make a left turn when there was time, instead of acting frustrated, I would cut the kid some slack due to the fact that he's learning.

That's always what I viewed the purpose of those letters to be.
