Maybe the LDS Church will start developing those large parking blocks in the near future. Thinking back on the large amount of surface parking that use to surround Temple Square and the quality of development that replaced the lots, I'm encouraged by what will probably be a very high level of quality architecture. I don't know how many of you have noticed the LDS Temple's design up in Meridian, but IMO it is stunning. If I could choose that somewhat ancient/deco influenced style for some of the future LDS, Secular or Government structures for Downtown SLC I would.
