Lightbulb HOUSTON | Market Square Tower | ~510 FT / 155 M | 41 FLOORS

Developer: ?
Type: Residential
Location: Bounded by Preston, Milam Louisiana & Congress (Downtown)

*Back in the early 80's, a developer (Gaurdian Savings) wanted to buy the property that once-existed on this site for an office tower. The owner of the building refused to sell. Suddenly someone began a campaign of harassment, clogging the toilets and placing cement in the sewer. He gave in and sold the building to the developer; shortly after the building was demolished without proper city permits. The negative impacts of the oil bust began to affect the company, which cancelled the tower and went bankrupt in the late 80's. Story: here
