Interesting.
This is no doubt for the purchase of the Highfield Square site. Regardless of the ultimate fate of the events centre, it only makes sense for the city to buy the land anyway. It's just too large a piece of land in too prominent a location for the city not to want to have influence and control in how it is developed.....
