I'm not saying that I think this old building blends in perfectly with the new tower but the best of the old building will be there and in better shape for much longer than it would have otherwise continued rotting away...

Considering was was originaly expected when redevelpment was propsed a few years back (i.e. moveing Roper House and probably razing these houses completely), the results won't be so bad. And the fact that these will end up as the frontage of two town homes, which is waht they have always been, it will keep more of it's original caracter.
