The city is ready to kick off construction on the controversial Tower o' Garbage in Hudson Square (the temporary restraining order has been lifted), and the first step is to remove a row of decades-old trees on Washington Street later this month. Guess what? Local residents are angry about it. "These are beautiful, majestic trees that should be preserved," one non-celebrity said.
