I just can't fathom how anyone could think that celebrating the anniversaries of what happened here last February is a waste of time and/or money. As time goes on it will become evident how huge it was for Canada and Vancouver. It was an awesome time, historic and not to mention the infrastructure improvements that were expedited with federal dollars that most likely we would have had to do without otherwise.
I feel sad for people that can't see the light.
