He is always beating the drum about this one grand issue that he has concocted. The articles are so tiresome that I don't bother with them anymore. Outside of his fan base of 3 people in the online comments (annoying and always negative HCAP type crowd) most probably feel the same way.
I would guess that The Coast is primarily an entertainment listing paper for most people who read it. Savage Love and the restaurant reviews are probably also popular.
