Vancouver to be a "Cultural Capital" for its 125th B'Day

This kind of smacks of one of those government programs begging to be cut, but I guess we might as well enjoys the $1.75 million Cultural Capital funding while we can. I'd forgotten next year is the 126th birthday for the City - has it really been 25 years since Expo 86?! How wonder how many times they'll close Granville for Dirty Green Astroturf Days ?
