Attractions and events you'd like to see in Vancouver...a wish list

Moving the zoo to Hastings Park would be a wonderful thing! I am a strong supporter of the zoo and hate the bad publicity that it gets. We have a young generation of kids who feel no empathy for animals. I'm convinced it is because these animals only exist on a screen for these kids. A BBC documentary or website are no replacement for the zoo and aquarium.

Replace the Hastings parking lot with a parkade (already planned I believe) and a short SkyTrain spur from Gilmore. Build the zoo on the Empire Fields and parking lot lands. Keep Playland there. I would love to see Playland moved to the False Creek Flats, but realistically, that land is too juicy for redevelopment.
