A Face-Lift for Downtown Regina

Downtown Project changes underway

With spring weather comes the sprucing-up of Regina's downtown.
Mayor Fiacco says the first phase of construction for the Downtown Plan is converting 11th and 12th Avenue to two-way streets, which has already begun.
There's another change people in Regina can get excited about and it's the conversion of 12th Ave. north of Victoria Park in to a piazza. "Cobblestone, park benches, art work, fantastic lighting and a wonderful fountain that can be converted to a stage. There are a number of changes."
Fiacco also tells people to be aware of construction starting on Albert St. from College Ave. to 11th Ave.
I absolutely love how this is sounding. Cobblestone, fountain, art, benches, etc...love it!
