The sad fact with regard to many of these misleading surveys is that they are sent to municipal and Nova Scotia politicians in order to sway their opinion. They also end up being published on the internet and in papers to sway the general public. I really think that these groups need to be held legally responsible for what they are publishing. When people publish lies against individuals it is called libel. Is it legal for groups to publish misleading information if it isn't directed against an individual? Even if it isn't a crime, it is certainly unethical.
