VANOC unveils torch relay community mini-cauldrons

This will be the mini-cauldron lit at the 200 communities the torch relay will go through:

It’s hot news: VANOC unveils 2010 cauldron
VANOC’s community cauldron will be lit in 200 celebrations across the country.

Organizers of the 2010 Vancouver Games yesterday unveiled a portable stage and a cauldron that will be lit in community celebrations in cities and towns during the Olympic torch relay.

Beginning in Victoria on Oct. 30, the torch will visit 1,030 communities during its 106-day journey.

There will be 200 “community celebrations” that will include drummers and acrobats, musicians, artists, and entertainers.

A torchbearer, chosen from each community, will light the community cauldron — a white, curved cauldron about 1.3-metres tall designed to complement the Olympic torch. The relay actually begins Oct. 22, when the Olympic Flame will be lit by the sun’s rays in Olympia, Greece. It will be paraded through Greece and will be flown to Canada on a Canadian Forces aircraft.

From this picture, I'm dissapointed...though to give a more valid opinion, i think we need to see the bottom of it as well and from various other angles.

Hopefully this doesn't reflect on the design of the actual cauldron at BC Place.
