The 41st route doesn't feel as busy as the 49, and really, the 49 serves a lot more major destinations than the 41. The 49 directly services 3 public secondary schools and of course, Langara. From 8:00-9:00, it's the most congested time because you have people going to secondary school, going to UBC, and going to Langara. By the time it gets to Elliott, it's already packed to the max. Fraser St gets so busy with people because absolutely no one can fit on the bus. There are times where you have to wait for at least four 49 buses just to get on one. Now that there's the Canada Line, it's also a major connection feeder.

Langara Stn is so busy because it's in the middle of everything. You have trains going Northbound, every other train filled coming from Marine/Bridgeport/Richmond. Trains going southbound are also filled because many of those passengers are destined for Marine/Bridgeport/Richmond. There are a few that get off at 49th, but not enough to clear the entire platform.

The solution is, in terms of buses: artics or a parallel route on 54th Avenue/57th Avenue to service the Langara and Langara Stn bound passengers.
