Neighbourhood big box
Say what you want but with the conversion of several malls in City, I will NOT be driving as much.
I used to drive from East Hamilton to Ancaster or Burlington to shop.
Now with the Centre Mall with a similar format it is a 3 min drive and lots less gas, wear and tear and the chance of an accident.
I rarely go to Limeridge (once every 2 yrs if that).
If the Westcliffe rumour is true, imagine all the apartment dwellers in the area that will get a better selection and keep it local. Win win.
All we need is more condos and decent apartments around the Malls. Mountain Plaza is OK with Fennel and Mohawk College.
Looks like the cilty is polarizing.
Hope this works against urban sprawl out of town.
