CBC’s Dragons’ Den auditions in Hamilton
Do you have a unique business concept that can turn the economy around? If so, then Dragons’ Den wants to hear from you. The show’s producers are holding auditions in Hamilton tomorrow from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. at Jackson Square.
The show gives aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of wealthy Canadian moguls who are entrepreneurs themselves. The prize is real cash and real investment – from the Dragons' own pockets.
The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce encourages members of the community to participate in the audition. “We are very excited about this opportunity for local entrepreneurs,” said John Dolbec, CEO, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. “I’ve received plenty of favourable feedback regarding the show’s effectiveness in matching entrepreneurs with potential sources of financing, directly or indirectly,” he added.
The auditions are open to anyone, as experience isn’t necessary. For this round, be prepared to make a pitch in five minutes or less. The producers will consider any idea — from eco-friendly inventions to futuristic vehicles to unique underwear – as long as it can make money!
