The German Bundesarchive has opened it amazing amount of Pictures to the public through Wikimedia Commons. Currently they are by Year, not subject
n.b. the photos are being added to daily, there are 10s of thousands.
n.b. translations are through Babelfish - please let me know if there are better ways to translate these titles.
