^ Depends on who replaces him. Do you think his recent change in tone, could have been to soften the blow of a change in Metrolinx's support of Hamilton?

He knew he was leaving, he was a big supporter of Hamilton's transit aspirations, and he was worried/concerned/knew the next head of Metrolinx might (or will) have different priorities.

Just my little conspiracy theory.
