Canada Day Foray - Vancouver

Hi all, here are some pics I took on a brief excursion downtown yesterday to check out some of the Canada Day festivities:


Boat traffic under the Granville Street Bridge as I walked toward downtown over the Burrard Street Bridge


Looking down Cordova Street towards Waterfront Station and the u/c Woodward's development














There were all sorts of Canada Day events at Canada Place

I think they were going to be making some maple taffy here


There was a "Quebec Zone" to celebrate its 400th anniversary

Some sort of ski jump


Some cultural performances




And now I wander over to the Vancouver Art Gallery to check out the "Cannabis Day" celebrations








It seems somebody put soap in the fountain


This guy was apparently smoking a little more than just pot






















And some more boat traffic as I walked away from downtown
