The benefit isn't necessarily for individual customers, but for the convenience of having all of the businesspeople - lawyers, bankers, brokers, and corporate clients all within walking distance of each other downtown. Mind you visiting clients who are on the Skytrain line - Metrotown - is very convenient (but travel time still racks up fees for the client). The worst is having to visit a client in an office park.
