To Cottonwood and a second issue...
"or the new library for that matter"...I am not sure what you mean by "for that matter" but the SLC library is just stunning. I mean it could be dropped into any city and not just US cities and be an instant top 5 newly constructed building. The design is off the charts. The creative aspects coupled with the sheer essence of what a library is all about is exceptional.
I love the Boston Building but tell me why you sited it out in particular. I am not saying that you are wrong to point it out.
The other issue:
Finally, I do not understand why Boise is even compared to SLC. They are both in the west...after that...what is the comparison?
Boise is a nice city but that is where the comparison ends. When the Provo metro area comes very close to equaling the Boise metro area then that about says it all.
After all of that, I actually like Boise...However, It is not SLC or even close to it.
