B-ham is still king in Alabama in terms of skyline density and is much better looking than Nashville and New Orleans skyline.
Oh yeah Huntsville could very much pass Mobile in city population size if people in Mobile keep moving out into the suburbs and Baldwin county ,lol but that has been on a freez lately ( past 2 years) thank God. Mobile has lost close to 6,000 to the suburbs and Baldwin county we went from over 198,000 to 192,000 + based on 2002 census who knows what it is now. I believe after the full BRAC explosion in Hunstville the city population can very well be around 185,000 + in the next 5 -10 years. Last I read Hunstville was around 162,000 +. Mobile has been doing a little annexation lately which included around 1,500 in the population and will be soon annexing the Tillmans Corner area in Mobile which has about over 15,000. the Mobile Police Jurisdiction covers 251,978 residents to be exact so the city is slowly trying to annex the unincorporated areas out west and south of Mobile city limits where people were bleeding the city to go live.
The city of Madison could soon bleed Huntsville I hope not only time will tell
Huntsville and Montgomery are both lucky compared to Mobile and B-ham . Both Mobile and Jefferson county are huge compared to Madison and Montgomery County. Both Jefferson County and Mobile county are full of suburbs or blood suckers is what I call them. The only and main city in Montgomery County is Montgomery. The only city in that is realy a city in Madison County besides Huntsville is Madison city
