If you're from Central or South America, this announcement will be good in terms of connections of going down south. I don't know if these flights will really compete with the charters to the resorts. Charters are non-stop and generally less expensive than scheduled flights. I'm also curious if this will have an adverse affect of getting a Houston flight. When i flew Continental to Houston a while back, most of the people were of Central or South American descent. More than likely most were connecting further south. Are there that many business people heading to Houston that could make jet service there profitable? I'm assuming the Mexicana flights will be on the A318 and since Calgary has the route 3 times per week, we will get the alternate days.
