^ On a somewhat related note, even though the architecture of Fifield's new community is trash, I actually hope that the developer of the Lake Meadows complex takes a page from their book, as well as from the developers of LSE.
Start off building a bunch of luxury rental highrises to generate enough density to support retail. After bringing in some basic retail services, follow through with some condo highrises, then lower density housing like flats, townhomes, and single families.
The mistake that the Central Station developers made was to build townhomes and single families early on--with legendary NIMBYism following suit quickly.
