This is some very exciting news!!! I am so excited that these Fig Central towers are going to add some much needed height to the nascent South Park skyline.

The original heights of the proposed towers, although not exactly "short," were not that tall either. Now they're tall enough to really make an impact to Downtown's entire skyline.

Namely, one can reference the height of the Transamerica tower. This tower is actually visible from afar (I can see it from Monterey Park on the 60 freeway westbound). Now, the shortest tower of Fig Central will be about the same height as the Transamerica tower and the taller tower of the two will be about the same height as the One California Plaza Tower!

With the Ritz Carlton tower, two Fig Central towers, two Jardin towers, and Meruelo's 12th/Grand & 11th/Olive towers will really add a substantial presence to South Park and really fill in the gap between the FiDi and South Park.
