I don't see any difference between the two after that fact. I'd be willing to bet another city in the metro will soon raise sales tax after they see the economic engine before there eyes.

Prattville has already raised its tax...at least at one store, Bass Pro Shops.
Part of the agreement the city made with Bass Pro to get them to locate there was to raise
that store's total sales tax to 10.5% in order to pay the
$30 MILLION the city promised Bass Pro in incentives.
