Is it possible that the reason for some of the lack of business and political interaction between Seattle and Vancouver is because neither is a capital city?
While I know that recently BC and the Western States have been working together on more things, in the past the focus has been on BC and the East at least from a government perspective.
As a Victorian I wish there was still a car ferry between Seattle and Victoria. That was great and it was only like 12 bucks for walk-on... Now you have to take the clipper and that is like 90 round trip which isn't bad but it certainly lessons the amount of time I spend in Seattle.
