Just remember...Rome wasn't built in a day...neither was Chicago...or New York...or San Francisco (okay, this one kinda sprung up fast because of the gold rush...). What I'm trying to say is, you're expecting a city to conform to the way you (we, even) want it to be overnight. A high-rise in Natomas is progress. They're not going to build more apartments over there. Doesn't South Natomas already have a bad rep for crime? If not, someone needs to check the Sac Police Crime Mapping Tool as I have been! It's not pretty! Anyways, if a business wants to build a 12-story building IN NATOMAS, that's great! It's not ideal...but, it's great. Business investment like that is a wonderful thing. Sacramento has a deep rooted car culture. It's changing a bit. But, until DNA is built, people will have a million excuses as to why they shouldn't take public transportation. Even with DNA, they'll give a million excuses. I could ramble all day. But, I won't! I know we all want the best for Sacramento. I think we just have to remember that our opinion (as right as it may be) about what's right may be TOTALLY different than someone elses and we just have to live with that.
