Biscuits win Southern League title
The Montgomery Biscuits won their first Southern League championship tonight, beating the Huntsville Stars 12-4 at Riverwalk Stadium.
The Biscuits pounded out a season-high four home runs, second baseman Elliot Johnson hit for the cycle and Montgomery finished off the series in four games.
Michael Coleman was the most valuable player for the series. He hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning Friday. In the series, Coleman was 7-for-14 with three home runs, nine RBIs and six runs scored.
